Life Update: I’m Launching a Blog!

Hi to all of you wonderful friends out there!

A lot of you have walked through life with me as I’ve traveled to countries around the world, worked in advocacy on human rights and international religious freedom, and shared my passion for justice. That passion for those who face persecution and human rights abuses around the world continues to be so close to my heart. I’m so blessed to have a wonderful job (in reality a dream job) that I’ve been called to. It’s a role that continues to bring me closer to the women, men, and children around the world who courageously live life in spite of unimaginable odds.

The truth: I’m blessed beyond belief every time I travel.

It’s not just because I get to travel to beautiful countries around the globe, but even more than that – I have a special opportunity to meet so many incredible people, the courageous and beautiful women behind the stories I write, the displaced families who have found a strength beyond what I can even imagine, and the children I’ve played with in refugee camps from Jordan to Lebanon to Iraq. I’m honored to share their stories from TV studios to Capitol Hill – and with everyone who reads my work.

It’s truly a privilege. Every single time.

But today I have a totally new project underway.

It’s a little different. It’s a little lighter. So here it goes…

I’m pulling back the curtain on my personal life in a new way – in a way I haven’t quite done before.

Which is to say, I’m launching a personal blog, and I can’t even begin to warn you about the topics that might be addressed. (Ha! Just kidding – it’s really not that exciting!).

My personal life might involve a lot of airport lounges, but it also allows me to witness beauty in the most unexpected of places. It involves cuddling up on my white couch in my tiny Washington DC apartment and trying not to spill a glass of wine while I read a favorite book. It involves playing with my nine nieces and nephews that make my auntie heart explode with happiness whenever I have the chance to see them. It involves date nights and dreams for the future and fashion and lifestyle and stories that are sometimes embarrassing – and sometimes, hopefully, inspiring. It involves being real. It involves being me – the whole version of myself, and not just the work version.

I kind of held off on this for a long time (yes, I’ll outright admit it!)

It’s been a dream of mine for… let’s just say… a very long time (for real!) to write from my whole heart. I want to share my life with you in a different way. And I want to thank every single person who has encouraged me to do this for years and years and years……. and years. Thank you. I’m launching this thing, I’m here, and I’m me.

This blog is about my life. It’s personal. It’s real.

So I honestly don’t entirely know what to expect, beyond the 30 or so blog posts I’ve plotted out on my computer (ha, just kidding – I barely had time to write this!). So if you have an idea – seriously, any random idea, please people! – feel free to comment on what you would like to hear from me! I would love to read it and I promise to follow up.

I can’t even tell you how much I appreciate you!

Thank you for being here. You’re appreciated, near or far, whatever interactions we’ve had or will have in the future. Thank you for being you, and for holding this space for me to be me. I’m excited to connect about life. Please feel free to comment any time, or to message me directly at I’d love to hear from you!

Much love,

  • Lindsay Lij Littrell
